Speaker Bio: Jim Czuprynski has nearly four decades of professional experience in information technology, serving diverse roles at several Fortune 1000 companies before becoming an Oracle DBA in 2001. He was awarded the status of Oracle ACE Director in March 2014 and is a sought-after public speaker on Oracle Database technology features, presenting often at Oracle OpenWorld, IOUG COLLABORATE, ODTUG Kscope, Hotsos Symposium, Oracle Development Community tours, and Oracle User Group conferences around the world.

Session Summary for Attendees:  Introduced in Oracle 18c, the Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) provides a tightly-controlled, cloud-based environment for application workloads focused on analytic reporting and data warehousing. IOUG volunteers provisioned an instance of Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud and ran several benchmarks and experiments to find out the details of how best to take advantage of ADW features as well as to understand precisely what ADW means for the role of Oracle DBA in the near- and long-term.
