Speaker Bio: Heli Helskyaho is the CEO for Miracle Finland Oy and an ambassador for EOUC (EMEA Oracle Users Group Community). Heli has a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Helsinki, and she specializes in databases. At the moment, she is working on her doctoral studies in schema discovery, big data, and semi-structured data. She has been working in IT since 1990 and using Oracle products since 1993. She has been in several positions, but every role has always included database design.
Heli is an Oracle ACE Director and a frequent speaker at many conferences. She is the author of Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler for Database Design Mastery (Oracle Press 2015), co-author of Real-World SQL and PL/SQL: Advice from the Experts (Oracle Press 2016), and one of the winners of Oracle Database Developer Choice Award, Devvy, in the database design category in 2015.
In 2015, 2016, and again in 2017, Heli was listed as one of the top 100 influencers in the IT sector in Finland. Heli believes good database design and good documentation reduce performance problems and make it easier to solve any that should arise.

Session Summary for Attendees: Data Vault is a great methodology for data warehousing. There are plenty of elements defined by the methodology itself as well as plenty for a database designer to design.
In this presentation we will see how a Data Vault DW can be designed using Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler and many of its amazing features, including DDL Transformations and Table DDL Transformations, among others. In this presentation we will talk about the staging area, the Data Vault DW database, and the business Data Vault.
